Be Unreasonable
Why do you call it being unreasonable?
Because whenever I'd ask one of my clients to do something that was unfamiliar, or somewhat uncomfortable, or different from what they'd been told by others, they would respond by saying – “Oh, be reasonable.” Or, “I couldn't do that – it wouldn't be reasonable,” or something like that. You see, when you ask people to do what is not familiar, not comfortable and not what they've been told before – they resist. And they're first line of resistance is to hide behind the wall of reasonableness. And you know, "reasonable" is code for “normal.” “Acceptable.” “Run-of-the-mill.” Reasonable is doing what everyone else does.
